END OF MONTH AND YEAR REMINDERS

Ladies - just want to remind you that the existing SU catalog and Spring Mini expire on May 31st.  All items on the retired lists will no longer be available.  Check out my website to review the retired list and order before May 31st.  Remember there are new incolors and new colors in the various color families.  You will want to get your favorite colors that are retiring before they are gone for good.  You can order directly online through my website or email/call me with your order.  For every $50 you order by May 31st, you will receive $5 in rubber bucks to spend at my garage sale (June 29 & 30) or on product in the new SU catalog.

Also - stop in for my New Catalog Shindig on Friday, May 31 from 7 - 9 pm or Saturday June 1 from 10 am - noon.  You will be able to pick up your NEW 2013/14 SU catalog.  Cost is $5 to reserve your seat, get your new catalog and make a card or two using some of the new products.  Place an order at this event and receive a $5 credit toward your order.  RSVP by May 29.

During the summer I will be offering 2 different classes a month.  I will offer them a couple of times so you have options to attend.  I hope this will excite you and increase attendance at my classes.  Let me know what type of classes you would like to attend and I will try to offer them.

Have a happy Memorial Weekend and get ready for the NEW STAMPIN' UP! year!

BEST OF BUTTERFLIES REMARKABLE BLOG TOUR

I love the Best of ... series that Stampin' Up! is releasing monthly.  April's Best of ... set was:  Best of Butterflies.  What is more springlike than butterflies and flowers.  My two cards feature both.

The first card uses the Best of Butterflies and Best of Flowers stamp sets.  I just love how some of the butterfly images work with our punches.  I am not the best with scissors, but I can punch.  This card uses Raspberry Ripple and Very Vanilla cs.  The DSP is from the Print Poetry DSP paper stack from the Spring Mini.  Ink colors are Summer Starfruit, Raspberry Ripple and Primrose Petals.  Other accessories are:  Raspberry Ripple satin stitched ribbon, Oval collection framelits, dimensionals, Elegant Butterfly punch and snail.
Here's a close up of the butterflies and flowers.
This next card uses the Big Shot with framelits and an embossing folder.  I have to say my Big Shot is my favorite tool I own. Soft Suede, Very Vanilla and Calypso Coral cs.  Floral District DSP and Soft Suede taffeta ribbon.  Caylpso Coral and Soft Suede inks.  Adorning Accents embossing folder, large scallop edgelit, and Bitty Banners framelits are the Big Shot tools.  Also used the Best of Butterflies and Itty Bitty Banners stamp sets.
This shows a close up of the scallop edge, adorning accents edgelit and the butterfly hand cut.

I hope you are enjoying my cards and the blog tour.  Check out Susan Carlson's blog to see what great ideas she has created for your viewing pleasure.  Stop back next month as we will be featuring another Best of ... stamp set.

REMARKABLE STAMP OF THE MONTH BLOG TOUR

Another month has flown by.  Mother's Day is today and I'm happy you are taking some time for yourself today to check out the REMARKABLE STAMP OF THE MONTH BLOG TOUR.  Happy Mother's Day.

This month's featured stamp set is in the Spring Mini and will be in the 2013/14 Catalog -- BY THE TIDE

This set reminds me of the East Coast which I have visited many times (helps when you have family out there).  So I have 3 cards that I used this set on.  I hope you enjoy.

This card features crumb cake, very vanilla and Fan Fair DSP.  I used Soft Suede, Island Indigo and Calypso Coral inks along with linen thread and Brushed Bronze button (from old Holiday mini).  Used the Labels Collection framelit also.  Quick, easy card.

The next card features retiring colors and inks.  Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze are on the way out.  But there are still a lot of blues to use in the new color refresh line.  Here I also used 1" circle punch and Whisper White Baker's Twine.
My last card turned out to be my favorite.  Again, quite simple and quick to demo.  Whisper White, Basic Black, Calypso Coral cardstock.  Linen thread, Jet Black Stazon Ink, Chevron embossing folder, Fancy Fan embossing folder, sponges, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze inks.

I hope you enjoyed my creations for the blog tour.  Now skip on over to Tamra Davis's blog to see what she has created for your viewing pleasure.  Click on the box below or this link.
